The Role

We are looking for a process engineer/software developer with experience in development of first-principles mathematical models for petroleum and chemical processes. This position will play a key technical role in the development and maintenance of industry-leading software solutions for process modeling and optimization.

Your Impact

  • Design and develop new capabilities within the process modeling software as well as within related applications.

  • Keep current with new and developing technologies as they appear in industry literature and assist in determining the feasibility of implementing new technologies.

  • Work with the customer support team to resolve escalated customer issues.

  • Provide technical support to product management, product marketing, services, and business support on customer activities

What You'll Need

  • BSc/MSc. in Chemical Engineering or related field

  • At least 2 years experience in development of first principles mathematical models for process engineering applications, possibly gained as part of MSc. work

  • Software programming experience (C#, C++)

  • Experience with Aspen HYSYS and/or Aspen Plus

  • Mathematical modeling and optimization background

  • Knowledge of machine learning methods is a plus

  • Excellent writing and communications skills
