The Role

The Senior Accountant position is an integral part of the GL team tasked with accounting for the Company’s domestic and international operations according to US GAAP. The GL team functions under a centralized global shared services concept. Primary responsibilities may include but are not limited to accounting for Transfer Pricing, Related Party, Accounts Receivable, VAT/GST, Accruals, Intercompany and Royalties. The Senior Accountant will interface with other departments within the Company to understand, analyze and reconcile various balance sheet and income statement accounts.

Your Impact

  • Preparation of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for global accounts.

  • Collaborate with other finance and operational departments to review accounting activity and prepare the monthly close.

  • Monitor and analyze balance sheet and expense activity compared to forecast.

  • Incorporate ongoing process and system reporting improvements in the monthly close process.

  • Assist in preparation of schedules, analysis and financial results for external auditors.

  • Perform SOX controls related to monthly close and reporting

  • Document policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

  • 5+ years of relevant GL accounting experience, multi-currency accounting experience is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and consistency in preparing work.

  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team; be flexible, self-motivated and proactive.

  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong analytical, quantitative skills and accounting research skills.

  • Intermediate experience with MS Excel.

  • Experience working with major accounting software packages for general ledger accounting. (Oracle R12 experience is a plus)
