The Role

AspenTech is seeking an enthusiastic, self-directed, data-driven Digital Marketing Manager responsible for developing and executing integrated, multi-channel digital marketing campaigns for the APAC Field Marketing Organization. The Digital Marketing Manager will provide strategic and technical support across a variety of campaigns from major event demand generation, to targeted audience nurture programs and work to champion new, innovative ideas, while working to execute test plans, and iterate based on performance metrics. This person will work closely with multiple stakeholders to strategize, create, build, deliver, and optimize all outbound campaigns including (but not limited to) email, social media, site merchandising, SEO, SEM, paid media, cross-sell, and SMS.

The ideal candidate will take an analytical approach to problem solving and have a proven track record in building and executing strategic lead generation and event campaigns to drive new customer acquisition and adoption. This person will have experience working within cross-functional organizations to develop integrated marketing campaigns that generate pipeline

Candidate is responsible for developing and executing a digital marketing strategic plan of APAC with a focus on China that builds awareness and growth of B2B customers, by leading and supporting a diverse range of traffic-driving, demand generation and customer engagement initiatives, including rich product content, social media, email, video etc. in coordination with the APAC Field Marketing team.

In this role the candidate will be responsible for implementing creative approaches to digital marketing in addition to updating the Chinese website and WeChat with local specific content such as launch announcements, a listing of local events, local partner announcements, training and other content relevant to Chinese customers.

In doing so, candidate will work closely with corporate teams including the corporate web design and development team, and the product marketing teams (In US), as well as the local China vendors to improve Chinese websites (including eLearning) quality, with the goal of increasing awareness and growing deep engagement with customers and users in China.

Candidate will need to have skills for conducting, monitoring and reporting for overall APAC regions digital programs. The candidate must know the processes and methodologies (marketing/sales funnel, BANT/MEDDIC leads qualification etc.).

Your Impact

  • Manage the day-to-day support and execution of digital marketing campaigns including project management, build, QA, deployment, testing, and reporting.

  • Build strong relationships across the APAC Field and global teams to ensure achievement of business objectives as well as look for opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.

  • Apply digital marketing best practices to determine new opportunities that will improve the customer experience and our digital marketing benchmarks.

  • Assist in development of local campaign strategies and plans.

  • Drive and make recommendations regarding how to most effectively engage customers within digital channels (e.g. cadence, frequency, etc.).

  • Contribute and influence the innovation roadmap for digital channel technologies, functionality, and platforms that deliver against the overall business objectives and strategies.

  • Lead the targeting and customer segmentation for digital campaigns across a variety of initiatives.

  • Develop and executes test plans to refine messaging and drive lift.

  • Leverage automation where possible to improve processes and productivity and make recommendations to support an organization growing at a rapid pace.

  • Establishes and maintains scalable processes that ensure best practices in campaign and lead management.

  • Lead campaign management with email/digital marketing strategy, targeting and list acquisition, tracking, and measurement.

  • Develop and analyze campaign performance metrics to drive future marketing decisions and optimize recruitment and engagement strategy.

  • Create emails and landing pages from templates in Eloqua, SiteCore, Webex among others.

  • Clear, consistent, and frequent communication with Field Marketing Team to outline strategy, tactics, goals, and performance for campaigns.

  • Manage integrated, multi-channel, multi-touch campaigns.

  • Work with cross-functional eLearning, Product Marketing and Field Marketing, to build and execute campaigns.

  • Adhere to consistency of AspenTech branding

  • Partner with key subject matter experts in marketing and sales to translate meaningful content into customer action.

  • Provide a high quality, customer-centric China web marketing site, as well as China WeChat and eLearning with the goal of improving awareness and online presence

  • Moving customers through the Sales/Marketing Funnels and increasing customer sign ups and engagements in China.

  • Deliver localized service and campaign updates on the China web properties eg website and WeChat in timely manner.

What You'll Need

What you will need

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a high-tech B2B demand generation/digital marketing role.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business or comparable education/experience.

  • Proven track record of creating and executing integrated marketing campaigns using tactics that include live events, webinars, digital advertising, lead nurture programs, and social media. Knowledge of China social media, internet and digital landscape is a must.

  • Experience building and formatting web pages and email templates. Basic HTML/CSS skills for both email and web.

  • Hands-on experience building, launching, and reporting on campaigns using Eloqua and Salesforce.com.

  • Knowledge of testing and measurement to analyze ROI and evolve strategy.

  • Written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English with the ability to gain alignment and problem solve collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Track record of developing and managing multiple marketing programs simultaneously.

  • Experience with targeting, segmentation, and list acquisition to build prospect lists for demand gen campaigns.

  • Understanding of how to use inbound marketing and content marketing to generate more qualified leads.

  • Familiarity with the technology sales cycle and how to employ marketing communication strategies to nurture leads, drive adoption, and accelerate growth.

  • Attention to detail is required in order to meet our high bar for all customer-facing content and provide flawless execution.

  • The candidate must be a fast learner who is exceedingly organized and eager to be part of a very fast-moving organization.

  • Salesforce experience preferred.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Understanding of email and general digital marketing best practices.

  • Project and time management skills.

  • Organized and detail-oriented with ability to prioritize projects.

  • Not afraid to try new things – driven to constantly improve results.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to pivot and problem-solve.

  • Team player. Comfortable and motivated working in a collaborative environment, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams such as Product Marketing, Field Marketing and sales teams.

  • Experience working with agencies on creative and media buys a plus.

  • Copywriting skills and SharePoint skills are a bonus.
